Welcome to the Student Counselling Service

At some time during your three years at Royal Holloway you may find yourself in a situation that is unfamiliar to you, emotionally challenging, and you don't know how to handle it. You may also find that you would rather not talk to family, friends or the department and it is at times such as these that the Counselling Service can offer you some support.

Additional Services

  • Workshops
Students often find it helpful and encouraging to work together using role play and discussion. We offer skills workshops for up to 12 students at a time, with Spring Term workshops planned on exam anxiety, procrastination, and relaxation.
  • Drop-in sessions
post-workshops for students who cannot attend.
  • Email counselling
for students based full-time in London or on a year's placements overseas.
  • Library of self-help books
to buy or borrow, plus a full range of leaflets on display.
