
Men's Rugby: 25 year Silver Julbilee Celebrations

On the 5th March, Royal Holloway, University of London will be celebrating 25 years since the creation of the modern Rugby Club following the merger between Royal Holloway College RFC and Bedford College RFC in 1985.
Along with the traditional President's fixture and dinner, a broader range of celebrations have been prepared as the club edge's towards this historic milestone. Please note that spouses and guests are welcome.

RHUL College 2nd XV Vs RHUL President’s Select XV
Time: 1.00PMs
Venue: Nobles
Context: A special one-off fixture for those who would like the opportunity to grace the fields of gold at Nobles one more time? Expect to see true RHUL RFC legends dig out their boots one more time to battle with the College. Contact the Captain, Matthew Griffin (student 1997-2001).
RHUL College 1st XV Vs RHUL President’s XV

Time: 2.30 PM
Venue: Nobles
Context: A highly competitive game for skilled regular players. Full match duration with full sides. Contact the Captain, Hugo Baldwin (student 2004-2007).
Note: it may not be possible for all requests for a game to be facilitated, in which case you will be referred to the earlier match.
Silver Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving
Time: 7.00 PM
Venue: The College Chapel, Founders North
Dress Code: Black Tie and Academic Dress
Context: A sung service of thanksgiving for all students, college staff, academics and alumni. The renowned College Choir will be performing and guests are invited to participate in the processional group if attired in academic gown and cap. Non-processional guests are to be seated for 6.50PM. The processional group will convene at the same time in the North Tower arch. If you would like to join the procession please contact Dominic Getting by early February to acquire the correct gown and cap. An optional retiring collection will be available for the chapel choir who are performing for free.
Champagne Reception
Time: 7.45-8.15PM
Venue: The College Picture Gallery
Dress Code: Black Tie
Context: Welcoming beverages for guests ahead of the main dinner. Guests without NUS or SU Life Member cards will be able to purchase a students union ticket for the late night entertainment and “sign in” if required. Guest are invited to bring a photo of “your time at the club” for the special rogues gallery.
President’s Dinner
Time: 8.15PM
Venue: Founders Dining Hall
Dress Code: Black Tie
Context: Annual dinner and President’s address. Subsequent awards to include the re-presentation of the Rex Kerton Trophy for Fresher of the Year. Carriages at 10.30PM for port and cigars. Please confirm any special dining requirements on the booking form.
“The Reflex” 70s and 80s Disco
Time: 11.00PM
Venue: Students Union
Dress Code: Black tie or Casual
Context: Please note the admittance process is strict. Bring a Photo driving licence and/or SU life membership card. Carriages at 2.30AM.
Tickets
Tickets priced for the champagne reception and dinner are £50 each and only 180 tickets are available (concessional prices will be offered to students). Please contact the relevant person, listed below, to secure your ticket for this event.

Those who would like on-campus accomodation for the evenings events click here. Other local accomodations is available in guest houses and travel lodges in surrounding areas.
Parking will be available at the Sports Centre and Runneymede 8 Car Park. If you park elsewhere on campus you do risk being clamped.
